EZBanEx Review: Viral Banner Exchange, Traffic Multiplication, Promo Codes & More

If you’re serious about building a traffic system instead of simply joining another traffic exchange and hoping for visitors, EZBanEx deserves a much closer look.

At first glance, EZBanEx is a banner exchange.

You display other members’ banners.

Other members display yours.

You earn credits.

You use those credits to get your own banners displayed.

That’s the basic banner-exchange model.

But EZBanEx takes that concept considerably further.

The platform combines a banner exchange with referral credits, a six-level referral structure, a Personal Surf Page, a Team Builder Page, alternate banner links that can be used without owning a website, and a particularly interesting feature called Sneaky Frame-Up that can allow the exchange to operate through splash pages you’re already using to promote other offers.

That combination is what makes EZBanEx especially interesting for our overall traffic strategy.

We’re not looking at it as simply another place to put banners.

We’re looking at it as a traffic-producing component that can potentially connect multiple parts of the traffic system together.

What Is EZBanEx?

EZBanEx is a viral banner exchange designed around the idea of creating a large network of websites displaying members’ banners.

The current site says the program was developed from more than 27 years of online marketing experience, with particular attention given to exchange rates, click-throughs, referral rewards, and the problems the creators had encountered with other banner exchanges.

The program’s stated goal is straightforward:

Put your banner into the exchange once, and allow the network to distribute it across other participating websites.

But the real difference comes from the additional ways EZBanEx allows members to generate credits.

You don’t necessarily have to rely on one method.

You can use banner exchange codes.

You can use alternate banner links.

You can use your Personal Surf Page.

You can use the Team Builder Page.

You can use your own splash pages.

And you can build a referral network that generates additional credits.

That creates considerably more possibilities than a conventional banner exchange.

How a Banner Exchange Works

The basic concept is simple.

You place an EZBanEx banner exchange code on a website or other supported advertising location.

Visitors see banners from EZBanEx members.

Those banner displays generate credits for the member displaying the exchange.

Those credits can then be used to have your own banners displayed.

The result is a reciprocal traffic system.

You provide advertising exposure to other members.

Other members provide advertising exposure to you.

The difference with EZBanEx is that the program has built additional mechanisms around that basic exchange.

The 0.6 Exchange Rate

EZBanEx currently advertises a 0.6 exchange rate for displaying its banners.

That means the base exchange gives you 0.6 EZBanEx credits for each qualifying banner display.

The site describes this as being approximately 20% higher than what it considers typical among banner exchanges.

This is an important number because exchange-rate economics determine whether placing an exchange on your own pages makes sense.

If you earn too few credits from displaying another network’s banners, the opportunity cost of giving up advertising space can become significant.

EZBanEx is specifically designed to make that trade-off more favorable.

But the 0.6 rate is only the beginning.

The Six-Level Referral Structure

EZBanEx adds referral credits on top of the basic exchange.

The current site states that members can earn additional credits from referral activity through six levels.

According to EZBanEx, when these additional referral credits are included, the program’s claimed effective return rate reaches 0.95.

That number needs to be understood correctly.

It does not mean that every banner impression automatically produces 0.95 credits.

The 0.95 figure incorporates the additional referral-credit component.

So the basic exchange rate is 0.6, while the higher figure is the program’s claimed effective return when the referral structure is taken into account.

That distinction is important.

And strategically, it’s also the reason building a network can matter.

Why Six Levels Matter

A referral program with six levels creates the possibility of receiving benefits from activity beyond your personally sponsored members.

Think about the structure this way:

You

Level 1

Level 2

Level 3

Level 4

Level 5

Level 6

If activity at those levels contributes referral credits to your account, then building a network can continue producing value after your initial referral.

This is one of the reasons I classify EZBanEx as a VIRAL strategy component.

The network itself can contribute to the traffic economics.

5,000 Free Credits to Get Started

One of the strongest reasons to test EZBanEx is that the program currently gives new members 5,000 credits to get started.

That means you don’t necessarily have to begin by spending money or spending a huge amount of time generating credits before you can test the system.

You have an initial pool of credits to work with.

That makes it easier to get a banner into the exchange and see what kind of activity it generates.

Nine Banner Sizes

EZBanEx currently offers a choice of nine banner sizes.

That’s another useful feature.

Instead of being limited to one standard 468×60 banner, advertisers can choose formats that fit different locations.

The program specifically argues that the traditional 468-pixel-wide banner is not necessarily the most effective placement and provides additional formats for other advertising locations.

For our strategy, that’s important because different traffic sources have different banner requirements.

A program that gives us multiple banner sizes makes it easier to reuse the same traffic asset across several networks.

Alternate Banner Exchange Links

Here’s where EZBanEx gets particularly interesting.

The program provides alternate banner exchange links that can work on traffic sites where you can submit a banner as a link but don’t have access to the site’s HTML.

EZBanEx specifically says this means you can use its banner system without having your own website.

That’s a big advantage for marketers who participate in traffic exchanges, banner programs, and other advertising sites.

Instead of needing to install an exchange code on your own website, you may be able to use the alternate banner link in an advertising slot that accepts banners as links.

This creates another route for generating EZBanEx credits.

The Personal Surf Page

Every member also gets a Personal Surf Page.

According to the current EZBanEx description, this page is designed like a profile-style page and can:

  • Earn credits on multiple websites
  • Promote your EZBanEx affiliate link
  • Promote three of your own offers

This makes the Personal Surf Page more than just a profile.

It can become another traffic destination.

You can place it into traffic exchanges and rotators, where people can visit the page and interact with the offers displayed there.

At the same time, the activity can help grow your EZBanEx referral network.

That creates a potentially useful two-for-one effect:

Generate traffic + build the network.

The Team Builder Page

The Team Builder Page takes this concept another step.

EZBanEx describes it as a downline-building page that does everything the Personal Surf Page does while also generating its own traffic.

This is one of the features I would test heavily.

A conventional referral page simply gives you a place to send prospects.

A Team Builder Page that generates its own traffic has the potential to become a self-reinforcing part of the system.

The more people who see the page, the more opportunities you have to acquire referrals.

Those referrals can then contribute activity to the network.

And that activity can potentially contribute additional exposure and credits.

That is much closer to the type of traffic loop we’re trying to build.

Sneaky Frame-Up

This is probably the single most interesting EZBanEx feature from our perspective.

EZBanEx calls it Sneaky Frame-Up.

The current program says this feature allows members to add EZBanEx banner exchange codes to any splash page, allowing them to earn additional banner credits while promoting another offer on another traffic site.

Think about what that means.

Suppose you are already using a splash page to promote:

Traffic Program A

Normally, the traffic arriving at that splash page is useful only for the offer you’re promoting.

With the Sneaky Frame-Up mechanism, EZBanEx says you can add the banner exchange to that splash page.

Now the same page can potentially perform two jobs:

Job #1 — Promote your primary offer

Job #2 — Generate EZBanEx credits

That’s exactly the type of traffic efficiency we’re looking for.

Instead of every visitor producing only one result, we want to find ways for one visitor to produce multiple downstream benefits.

This Is Why EZBanEx Fits the VIRAL Strategy

Our overall strategy isn’t about collecting dozens of unrelated traffic programs.

It’s about connecting them.

EZBanEx fits that philosophy extremely well.

Imagine this:

Traffic Exchange

Splash Page

Your Offer

EZBanEx Frame-Up

EZBanEx Credits

Those credits can then generate more banner exposure.

Now add the referral system:

New Visitor

EZBanEx

Referral

More Network Activity

Additional Referral Credits

More Advertising

Now we’re starting to build an actual system.

EZBanEx Can Potentially Sit Between Traffic Sources

Another thing I like about EZBanEx is that it doesn’t necessarily need to be the final destination of the traffic.

It can sit inside the traffic system.

For example:

Traffic Exchange → Splash Page → Offer

while simultaneously:

Splash Page → EZBanEx → Credits

Or:

Safelist → Personal Surf Page → EZBanEx referral

Or:

Banner Network → Team Builder Page → EZBanEx

Or:

Traffic Exchange → Alternate Banner Link → EZBanEx credits

That’s much more interesting than simply saying:

“EZBanEx sends traffic.”

The more accurate description is:

EZBanEx can potentially turn traffic from other sources into additional advertising resources.

That’s a very different proposition.

Set-and-Forget Potential

EZBanEx is designed to allow members to set up their banners and exchange codes and then let the system continue operating.

The program specifically describes itself as capable of being used on a set-and-forget basis.

That doesn’t mean there is literally zero work involved.

You still need to set things up.

You still need traffic.

You still need to monitor results.

And building a referral network requires promotion.

But once the infrastructure is in place, some portions can operate without constant attention.

That’s valuable.

We’re trying to build a system where the work we do today can continue producing traffic tomorrow.

Lifetime Banner Links

EZBanEx also points out that many marketers accumulate lifetime banner placements on various programs and then stop using them.

Its alternate Banner Linking option potentially gives those old advertising assets another purpose.

If a traffic site allows you to submit a banner as a link, that placement may be usable for generating EZBanEx credits.

That means old advertising opportunities don’t necessarily have to sit unused.

Instead, they can potentially become another part of the credit-generation network.

This is another example of the way EZBanEx can connect with the rest of a traffic strategy.

Current EZBanEx Statistics

The current EZBanEx site reports:

  • 1,900 total members
  • 1,849 Free members
  • 51 Pro members
  • 4,912 unique domains
  • 23.2 million+ banner impressions
  • 63,000+ banner clicks

These are figures reported by EZBanEx itself.

They should therefore be treated as program-reported statistics rather than independently audited traffic numbers.

Still, the relationship between members and unique domains is interesting.

The program reports substantially more unique domains than members, which indicates that its banner codes are being placed across a broad collection of websites.

For a banner exchange, that’s an important metric.

A banner exchange needs places to display the banners.

The more active placements there are, the more potential distribution exists.

Free Membership

EZBanEx currently offers a Free Lifetime Account.

The program specifically states that the Free account isn’t a trial and can be used indefinitely.

Free members receive the core system, including the initial 5,000 credits and the various banner-linking and traffic-building tools described above.

There are optional upgrades available, but the program states that members can use the Free account without being forced into an upgrade.

That makes EZBanEx relatively easy to test.

Pro Membership

EZBanEx does offer optional Pro upgrades.

However, the current public page I reviewed does not provide enough reliable detail about the present Pro price and complete Pro benefit package to justify publishing a specific dollar figure in this review.

That’s something I’d verify from the member area before spending money.

The important point for the review is that the core EZBanEx system is available through the free lifetime membership, while paid upgrades are optional.

That makes the initial testing decision fairly simple:

Test first. Upgrade later if the numbers justify it.

How We Use EZBanEx

This is where I see EZBanEx becoming one of the more important pieces of our overall strategy.

I wouldn’t simply join EZBanEx and throw one banner into the exchange.

I’d build it into the traffic infrastructure.

First: Create Multiple Banners

Create banners for different parts of the strategy.

For example:

  • Main strategy page
  • Traffic exchange directory
  • Safelist mailer directory
  • Banner advertising page
  • Lead capture page
  • Specific high-value traffic programs

This lets us measure which destinations perform best.

Second: Install Exchange Codes

Where we control the HTML, we can place EZBanEx exchange codes on appropriate pages.

That allows the pages themselves to generate credits.

Third: Use Alternate Banner Links

Where a traffic site doesn’t allow HTML exchange code but accepts a banner URL, use the alternate banner-linking system.

That potentially turns existing advertising slots into credit-generating assets.

Fourth: Use Sneaky Frame-Up

This is the part I’d be most interested in testing.

Whenever we’re using a splash page to promote another program, determine whether EZBanEx can be incorporated without interfering with the primary offer.

If it works as described, the splash page can potentially generate both:

traffic to the offer

and

EZBanEx credits.

Fifth: Build the Team

Promote the EZBanEx Personal Surf Page and Team Builder Page through our existing traffic sources.

The goal isn’t simply to get referrals.

The goal is to build an active network that contributes additional traffic and credits.

What Does One Visitor Actually Produce?

This is the question I want to apply to EZBanEx.

Suppose we send one visitor to a page.

What happens?

Maybe the visitor clicks our offer.

Maybe they join a program.

Maybe they become an EZBanEx referral.

Maybe their activity generates referral credits.

Maybe the page they visited also generates an EZBanEx credit through Sneaky Frame-Up.

Maybe those credits produce another banner impression.

Maybe that impression produces another click.

That’s the difference between looking at traffic as a number and looking at traffic as a system.

We’re not interested only in:

1 visitor = 1 visit

We’re interested in:

1 visitor = potentially multiple downstream events.

That is the metric I would use to evaluate EZBanEx.

EZBanEx and Banner Boomerang

This is another area where EZBanEx could potentially become especially useful.

If we’re using Banner Boomerang as another component of the advertising system, we can look for ways to have the same traffic produce value in both systems.

The exact mechanics need to be tested rather than assumed.

But conceptually:

Traffic → Splash Page → Banner Boomerang

while simultaneously:

Traffic → Splash Page → EZBanEx

could allow one visitor to contribute to multiple traffic systems.

That’s precisely the type of cross-program connection that makes our overall strategy different from simply joining programs individually.

EZBanEx vs. a Normal Banner Exchange

A conventional banner exchange gives you a fairly simple equation:

Show banners → earn credits → get banners shown.

EZBanEx adds several additional layers:

Show banners

Referral credits

Six-level network

Personal Surf Page

Team Builder

Alternate banner links

Sneaky Frame-Up

Multiple banner formats

That combination is why I consider EZBanEx considerably more strategically interesting than a basic banner exchange.

What We Like About EZBanEx

Strong Base Exchange Rate

The program currently advertises a 0.6 exchange rate, which it describes as approximately 20% higher than most exchanges.

Six-Level Referral Credits

The referral structure can extend six levels deep, giving active network builders additional ways to generate credits.

5,000 Starting Credits

New members receive 5,000 credits to get started.

Nine Banner Sizes

Multiple banner formats make the exchange easier to use across different advertising locations.

No Website Required

Alternate banner links mean members can use certain EZBanEx functions even when they don’t control the HTML of a website.

Personal Surf Page

The Personal Surf Page can be used to generate traffic while promoting the member’s affiliate link and other offers.

Team Builder

The Team Builder Page combines downline building with traffic generation.

Sneaky Frame-Up

This may be the most strategically valuable feature because it can potentially turn traffic you’re already purchasing or generating into additional EZBanEx credits.

Free Lifetime Account

You can test the core platform without paying for membership.

Things To Keep in Mind

There are still some things I’d want to watch carefully.

Banner Impressions Aren’t Clicks

EZBanEx reports more than 23 million banner impressions and more than 63,000 clicks.

That works out to a program-reported click-through rate of roughly 0.27%.

That’s simply the relationship between the two numbers displayed by the program; it isn’t a guarantee of the click-through rate you’ll receive on your own banners.

Your results can vary significantly depending on banner design, placement, audience, and offer.

Referral Economics Depend on Activity

The six-level structure is potentially valuable, but only if there is activity within the network.

Simply having six levels available doesn’t automatically mean you’ll receive substantial referral credits.

More Features Mean More Setup

EZBanEx provides many ways to use the system.

That’s a strength, but it can also make the program seem complicated at first.

The best approach is to implement it one piece at a time.

Don’t Assume Every Traffic Source Will Work

The program says its alternate banner-linking system can work on virtually any traffic site that lets you submit banners as links.

Still, individual traffic sites have their own rules.

Always verify that the specific placement is permitted before using an EZBanEx link.

Terms and Operating Information

The current EZBanEx terms require members to be at least 18 years old. The terms state that the site is governed by Queensland and Australian law and describe the site as intended for use by individuals based in Australia.

The terms also prohibit spam, unauthorized access, attempts to interfere with the site’s operation, and other prohibited activities.

EZBanEx’s current terms identify the company simply as “EzBanEx” and do not clearly name an individual founder or owner.

The site’s footer identifies the business address as:

PO Box 99, Yorkeys Knob, Queensland 4878, Australia.

I would therefore avoid attributing ownership to a specific individual unless that information is confirmed through a current official source.

Is EZBanEx Worth Trying?

Absolutely.

Even if you have no interest in building a large referral organization, the basic banner exchange is worth testing.

The 0.6 exchange rate, 5,000 starting credits, multiple banner formats, and alternate banner links make it easy to experiment.

But if you’re building a broader traffic system, that’s where EZBanEx becomes much more interesting.

The Personal Surf Page can be fed traffic from other programs.

The Team Builder can help develop the referral network.

The six-level referral structure can generate additional credits.

And Sneaky Frame-Up can potentially allow traffic you’re already generating through splash pages to contribute to the EZBanEx side of the system.

That’s a lot more than simply swapping banner impressions.

Final Verdict

EZBanEx is one of the more strategically interesting banner exchanges in our traffic system.

The basic exchange is useful by itself.

But the real value comes from the connections between its various features.

You have:

Banner Exchange

→ generates advertising exposure

Referral Structure

→ generates additional credit opportunities

Personal Surf Page

→ creates another traffic destination

Team Builder

→ helps build the network

Alternate Banner Links

→ lets you use the system in places where you don’t control HTML

Sneaky Frame-Up

→ potentially turns existing splash-page traffic into additional EZBanEx credits

That’s why I consider EZBanEx a core component of the VIRAL and traffic strategy, rather than simply another banner exchange to add to the directory.

The program itself reports more than 1,900 members, nearly 5,000 unique domains, more than 23 million banner impressions, and more than 63,000 banner clicks.

Those numbers are program-reported, and actual results will depend on the traffic and placements available to individual members.

But the underlying structure is what interests me most.

We’re building a system where traffic from one source can feed another source, where one visitor can potentially create multiple downstream results, and where the work involved in setting something up today can continue producing value later.

EZBanEx fits that model extremely well.

The biggest opportunity isn’t simply:

“How many banner impressions can EZBanEx give me?”

The better question is:

“How many things can one visitor do inside the EZBanEx system — and how can we connect those things to the rest of our traffic network?”

That’s the question I would test.

And if the answer is anything close to what the structure suggests, EZBanEx could become a very important piece of the overall system.
